PRK TESTIMONIALS
Dr Allen did my PRK in 1998. Before the procedure, my vision was about 20/600 in both eyes. After the procedure, my vision was exactly as planned and near perfect in both eyes. My eyesight has remained stable over the last 7 years. It has been wonderful to see without glasses.

We both had been extremely near sighted for as long as I can remember, wearing glasses in grade school and eventually getting contact lenses after completing high school. Contacts were so much better than wearing my big bottle thick glasses but were not always suited to some of our activities such as swimming, motorcycling, and even playing tennis. I had asked Dr Allen about some corrective surgeries that were available and she never endorsed any of the available procedures. Until on a regular office visit I again asked about the corrective surgery, PRK, and much to my delight she endorsed this procedure and was even performing it. I trust her completely and immediately booked a date.
Dr Allen performed the surgery on my left eye and about one month later I had the other eye completed. It was amazing to be able to see so well without corrective lenses. Everything went so well my husband had the same procedures shortly after my recovery.
We both agree that this is the best thing we have ever done for ourselves. I am a professional tennis umpire and perfect eyesight, without the bothers and problems of corrective lenses is a big benefit.
So if you are thinking about having vision correction performed, don't hesitate and by all means consider Dr Allen. I can strongly recommend her and her talented staff.

I had the privilege of undergoing corrective eye surgery eight years ago by Dr Vivian Allen. Preoperatively, my vision was 20/400. I had worn contacts and/or glasses since the 9 th grade. After being unable to wear contact lenses due to an allergic component, I decided to try Dr Allen's PRK procedure. I am happy to state that eight years later, my vision remains at 20/20. It has been a godsend not to have to wear contacts and/or glasses and to actually be able to wake up in the middle of the night without fumbling for my glasses on the night stand.
It is without a doubt one of the best things that had occurred during my lifetime. I have gone from being dependent on corrective eyewear to being able to see clearly without discomfort. Even if at this time my vision would return to its preoperative state (20/400), I would not hesitate to undergo this procedure again, as I have gotten eight excellent years out of it.
I fully endorse Dr Vivian Allen and her staff. I have been under Dr Allen's care for the last 20 years.

When I was 9 years old I found out I needed glasses. Progressively my sight deteriorated until I could no longer even read the big “E” on the eye charts. In 1997, at the age of 40, my life changed. My ophthalmologist, Dr. Vivian Allen, suggested I consider having PRK refractive laser surgery. After much thought, I decided to give the treatment a try. The procedure was short and there was very little discomfort. Words cannot explain the difference this short procedure made in my life. Not being heavily dependent on glasses or contacts for the first time in thirty years was nothing short of a miracle. It affected nearly everything I do; things we take for granted like being able to wake up at night and look at the night stand clock without groping for glasses to see the time or in the water without worrying about bothersome contacts or glasses. Name any aspect of my life and I can give you a long list of things that have changed for the better because I no longer require glasses or contacts. There is NOT one thing I regret about getting PRK and in an instant I would not hesitate to do it all over again!!!
Thank you Dr Allen for the gift of sight!!!
